What is semi-permanent make up?
Semi-permanent make up, also known as micropigmentation, gives you flawless make up all day, every day. It has grown enormously in recent years and is now the preferred option across the cosmetic and beauty industries.
At Body Canvas we highlight and bring out the best in your natural features, saving you hours in front of the mirror with a subtle, long-lasting look.
It accentuates the lips, eyes and brows. It isn’t a full replacement for make up, but our clients tell us it makes their routine much easier — and they look fresh from the moment they open their eyes.

Eyebrows
Our advanced pigments create age-defying, flawless brows with fine strokes of colour over your natural brow line. At your consultation we look at your face shape, your current brows and what you want to achieve, then use your custom shape to choose the perfect colour. We don’t start until you’re completely happy.
Whether you want to thicken sparse brows or prefer a more defined, contoured look, we’ll get you your ideal brows.
Hair-stroke brows — fine, spaced-out strokes that imitate hair, for the most natural look.
Powder brows — fine strokes placed closely together for a fuller, more defined brow.
Ombré brows — lighter, finer strokes leading into a fuller, thicker brow.
Eyeliner
Semi-permanent eyeliner defines your eyes naturally. It can make lashes look thicker and eyes larger, or fill in a sparse lash line — by placing tiny dots of pigment along the lash base.
We can also create a smudge-proof everyday look, bold or soft, on the upper lid, lower lid or both — so there’s no reapplying through the day. At the consultation we design your look together, including the right colour for your style and age.

Lips
Lip liner. Defines and enhances your natural lip line for fuller, younger-looking lips. Subtle or dramatic — and it pairs perfectly with lip blush.
Lip combo. An all-over lip blush with a lip liner, for full, smudge-proof lips. A beautiful way to add the appearance of volume without filler.
Lip blush. Natural pigment across the whole lip. It minimises imperfections, colour loss and signs of ageing. We match your exact lip colour for an even, youthful finish — or work with you to make it more vibrant.
Your cosmetic tattoo journey
From consultation to aftercare, our team supports you with expert advice and the highest standards of hygiene.
1. Consultation
We do a thorough assessment, discuss realistic expectations and estimate the procedures needed. Because these treatments are done on sensitive areas, we advise a patch test at the consultation and the treatment on another day. If needed, we also check the colour match.
2. Mandatory patch test
A patch test must be done at least 24 hours before your appointment. You can do it at the consultation or book it separately.
3. Treatment cost
At the consultation we assess your needs and advise on the cost. On average, semi-permanent make up takes around 2 sessions.
4. Pre- and aftercare
Avoid alcohol, blood thinners and caffeine before the procedure. Sleep well and eat a healthy meal beforehand. Afterwards, we give you an aftercare guide and recommend creams for the treated area.
Semi-permanent make up FAQ
What is the minimum age?
The minimum age is 18. You may be asked to show ID in the studio.
Do I have to pay a deposit?
All our consultations are complimentary. To book a service we take a deposit to reserve your slot. The deposit is non-refundable within 48 hours of the appointment, and you can reschedule once.
Is it painful?
It can be in certain areas, so we may use numbing cream during the appointment if needed.
How do I book an appointment?
Send us a message on WhatsApp, a DM on Instagram @bodycanvaslondon, an email to info@bodycanvas.uk or call +44 7769 210699.
Does it look natural?
Yes. We aim to enhance your features and keep the result natural.
Can I have treatment while pregnant or breastfeeding?
If you are pregnant or breastfeeding we won’t be able to do a procedure for you, as your body is already going through a lot of changes and we don’t want any possible risk for you and your baby. We’re happy to see you 12 months after the birth, or once the baby is no longer dependent on you.
I have a medical condition. Can I have treatment?
We need to know which medical condition you have, as certain conditions make a procedure unsafe. If you’re unsure, check with your GP before your appointment.
Is semi-permanent make up the same as a tattoo?
It’s slightly different: the application technique and the pigments used can vary.
